YouthBuild
LEARN CONSTRUCTION ~ EARN MONEY ~ FINISH YOUR EDUCATION
Watch a short video about YouthBuild
Youthbuild prepares youth for a future in their community by showing them a path to self sufficiency, meaningful employment, and leadership.
Rogue Valley Youthbuild is a collaboration between GroundWorks, The Job Council, and Rogue Community College. Youth ages 16-24 that have dropped out of school complete GEDs, receive counseling, basic skills, financial literacy, develop leadership skills, and get direct training in construction, all while earning a stipend.
We teach youth a full range of construction skills while building affordable housing and community projects. Youth are expected to show up on time, maintain a clean work site, respect others and listen to presentations by local contractors. Over 25 youth per year participate.
